Magic surrounds us if you look close enough
Some call it nature, some an act of an all powerful deity,
And if that is what they choose to believe, fair enough,
I prefer the concept of mystical and magical, blessings almighty!
I'm a witch, it is my chosen way, my own path
I use Nature's gifts to heal and send blessings of good
I don't have green skin, a crooked nose, sorry no warts either,
I have a black cat, my familiar, don't fly a broom, wish I could.
Black magic is there if one chooses to follow
Be warned the rule of three, what you do comes back at you thrice
So hex and curse to your malcontent, why should I object
I won't respond as I know what you get back will not be nice
I have a cauldron, an old stewing pot
For mixing potions, motes, medicines and magical spell
No lizards tooth on my ingredients list, no eyes of newt,
Sorry if that disappoints, just simple herbs they do just well
Nature's magic provides all that I need, simple things,
No school of magic did I attend, no Hogwart's for me
Do I need that specialist education to respect the planet?
I think not, I just do as I will and remember the rule of three.
I will dance and sing, maybe chant sky clad among the stones
In reverence and glory to the gods and goddesses above
The magic around us is for all who care to stop and stare
Given to us in mystery and most definitely in love.
So next time per chance you stop and see a red rose
See the wonder of our world, it provides us so well
Take the time to admire her beauty, her sweet scent inhale
All this we are given. Is it magic? Who knows who can tell?
